Item Online Food Advertising: Mutual Influence and Parental Bans(جامعة باتنة 1, 2025-06-01) كهينة بركونThe massive exposure of children to advertisements for foods with poor nutritional value, combined with the rise in obesity, has led to growing support for advertising regulation internationally. Lobbies representing the food industry, advertisers, and the media have, however, prevented regulation in many countries. In this context, support for regulation from civil society, particularly parents, is strongly needed. The objective of this survey is to describe and analyze the factors associated with parents' opinions on the impact and banning of televised food advertising aimed at children. An online survey will be conducted among a few Algerian parents regarding food advertising, and their sociodemographic characteristics will be analyzed using multivariate logistic regressionsItem The Impact of Television Advertising on the Behavior of Algerian Children: A Survey Study on a Sample from the City of Sétif(جامعة باتنة 1, 2025-06-01) فاتح مختازي; مداسي عبد الرحيمThis presentation aimed to explore the issue of the impact of television advertising on children's behavior in Algeria. A survey method was employed using a questionnaire distributed to parents, as they are the primary observers of their children's behavior when exposed to television. The study was conducted in the city of Sétif, with a purposive sample of 60 participants. The study reached several findings, including: Children are regularly exposed to television advertising, with a rate of 89%. The most preferred advertisements among children are those featuring cartoon characters, at 67%. Most of the television advertisements children are exposed to are delivered in Arabic. Parents confirmed that their children benefit from television advertising by acquiring social and cognitive behaviors.
