Item The Child as an Icon in Environmental Documentary: Models of Arabic Films(جامعة باتنة 1, 2025-06-01) Loubna Rahmouni; Lamia ZaterThis study examines how Arabic environmental documentary cinema represents the child through its explored themes, framing him as an ecological and socio-cultural discourse icon in the Arab world, especially within the rapid pace of global development, underscoring the importance of the dynamics of the present era are increasingly shaped by pressing environmental issues and ecological concerns. Hence, the Arab child functions as a fundamental component within the broader societal system. He is both affected by and engaged in these transformations. Given cinema's effectiveness in conveying deliberate messages, its influence may extend beyond symbolic representation to concrete actions on the ground. Thus, it places awareness and promote environmental education for future generations, in which the child is used symbolically to represent the relationship between humans and their environment, illustrating how they interact with the various climate changes they experience.
