Despite the educational and entertainment opportunities that the digital environment provides, it has created serious challenges related to the digital 2 exploitation of children, whether through violating their privacy, promoting harmful content, or exploiting them in advertisements and media materials without controls. The study also sought to monitor the legal framework established by the Algerian legislator to protect children in the digital space, by studying relevant national legal texts and comparing them with international agreements and laws, most notably the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child. It also sheds light on the manifestations of digital exploitation and its mechanisms, and evaluates the effectiveness of the legal system in confronting this phenomenon.
