Abstract
This study aimed to address one of the most pressing issues currently concerning the scientific community, particularly in the fields of media studies, sociology, psychology, and educational sciences. It focuses on identifying the general status of the child in light of the manifestations of globalization and information and communication technologies, as well as examining ways to activate the structural roles of socialization institutions in order to avoid structural imbalances that may affect society at its formative stages.
Accordingly, the study seeks to measure the extent to which the Algerian family exercises its guiding and supervisory roles as the primary agent of socialization, roles that have undergone transformation in response to globalization. It also aims to reveal the level of family awareness regarding the risks posed by contemporary digital content, particularly its impact on the child’s mind, as children in their early developmental stages tend to absorb, imitate, and emulate everything they encounter without the ability to distinguish between correct and incorrect behaviors, as well as the negative effects of such content on their behavior.
