Abstract

Participants in most forums related to the theme "Children and the Challenges of the Modern Age" consistently emphasize the vital role of various institutions and civil society actors in addressing the challenges facing Arab societies, particularly Algerian society. They also highlight the contribution of associations in reinforcing values and principles that safeguard children and protect them from the negative effects of harmful phenomena spread by various media outlets, which threaten social stability and equilibrium by adversely influencing children's development. This aligns with the mission of the Wilaya El-Wefaq Association of Batna, which seeks to provide positive alternatives by optimally investing in the constructive aspects of media to help build a leadership-oriented personality in children, within the framework of Algerian Muslim family values. In this research paper, the Association shares its vision and field experiences by presenting activities and initiatives targeting children. These efforts aim to complement the role of families in raising their children and include extracurricular programs within educational and training institutions, as well as support programs for families to engage in solidarity-based entrepreneurship in order to achieve financial self-sufficiency. Furthermore, the Association places strong emphasis on the care, upbringing, and ongoing field support of boys and girls alike through a variety of dynamic programs—striving to move from the theory of righteousness to the practice of reform.
