Abstract

This study examines the central thesis of Israeli historian Ilan Pappé as presented in The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine (2006), in which he argues that the Palestinian displacement of 1948 was not an unintended consequence of war, but a deliberate and systematic process of ethnic cleansing. The study concludes that Pappé’s work represents a fundamental contribution to the moral and historical redefinition of the Palestinian Nakba.
