This study aims to highlight the architecture from the dawn of history to the Islamic period in the Ain Salah region. Architecture, in general, has undergone various stages since its inception in the Arabian Peninsula, evolving over time and witnessing diversity in styles and forms. Among its types is the so-called desert kasr architecture (traditional architecture), which possesses distinct characteristics and features that set it apart from other types. It adapts to the environment and aligns with it in terms of general planning and Islamic spirit.The architecture built by humans in Ain Salah reflects the environmental constraints and necessities imposed by the region. It mirrors the lifestyle and traditions of desert inhabitants. Moreover, the architectural design and overall layout embody the nature of the environment and demonstrate how humans utilized the raw materials provided by their seemingly harsh natural surroundings.The architectural features of Ain Salah become evident through the completion of construction processes, revealing deep-rooted religious and cultural influences passed down through generations. This underscores the relationship and interaction between humans and their environment, which they both influenced and were influenced by. As a result, a local urban fabric emerged, reflecting the region's unique style and geographical identity.
