Résumé:
We aim to highlight the two-way energy security and the exploitation of shale gas
in Algeria under a series of developments in the international and national arena,
linked to the economic motives of energy security and the environmental
commitments that intersect with the Sustainable Energy Initiative for All.
Where the chronological trace of the concept will be presented with the
presentation and analysis of the supportive and rejecting views of the exploitation
of shale gas in Algeria.
The study concludes that the exploitation of shale gas should be delayed at present,
given the lack of control over exploitation technologies, the high cost of extraction,
as well as the environmental concerns of the southern Algerian population.
