The establishment of the International Criminal Court is in itself an important achievement, This is confirmed by its follow-up against a number of persons accused of crimes within its competence. However, there are challenges that hindered its path in deterring the perpetrators of those crimes, some of those challenges are related to the influence of external factors unrelated to its competencies, composition, management, or procedures.
