شهدت مدينة أشير حسب ما تطلعنا به الدراسات التاريخية وأوصاف الرحالة الجغرافيين تطورات في الناحية السياسية و نمو إقتصاديا و إزدهار في الحركة الفكرية والثقافية وتوسعا في الشبكة العمرانية، وهو ما إنعكس على المجتمع الأشيري الذي عرف تنوعا وثراء ثقافيا، ورقيا حضاريا أخرجه من طور البداوة إلى طور الحضارة.
