Abstract
Arab and Muslim world are concentrating their efforts on the conversion of ancient buildings to Islamic museums to become a popular attraction for both visitors and tourists. Visitors, as a result, can now have an easy access to these buildings which have come to life and, at the same time, have acted as a means of connecting the old with the new through giving support to restoration, rehabilitation, and maintenance programs. The aim of visiting these old buildings is to get acquainted with the place and the items exhibited therein, where one can find harmony between form and purport, as well as between showpieces and the internal structure of the museum. However, the museum historical building and its acquisitions are regarded as a two-sided coin.
