Abstract

The Digital World provides valuable opportunities for children's learning and development, but it also introduces risks due to a growing digital and generational gap between children and adults. Overexposure, harmful content, and weakened social interaction are among the key concerns, especially given children's limited ability to critically assess digital media. In "Developing Digital Intelligence in Children," Jamal Ali Khalil argues that isolating children from technology is ineffective. Instead, he advocates for empowering them through media education and recognizing digital access as a fundamental right. This calls for Algeria to strengthen its media literacy programs and proactive strategies to equip children with the skills needed to safely navigate and benefit from the digital space.
