Abstract

Food security is considered one of the most important challenges facing Arab economies, especially after the recent global food crisis and the subsequent changes that affected food supply and increased prices. It has become essential to adopt effective strategies to ensure sustainable food provision. This study aims to analyze the report of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in order to examine the reality of food security in the Arab world. The study will rely on the descriptive-analytical approach by analyzing various data and statistical tables included in the 2022 report of the Arab Organization for AgriculturalDevelopment. This study concluded that despite the available resources and the leading position of some countries on the food security index in the Arab world, most countries still suffer from weak food security due to wars and crises that have, in turn, led to inflation in food prices.
