Abstract

نتيجة للانفتاح المعرفي الذي تعرفه الجامعة الجزائرية في السنوات الأخيرة، كان لزاماً على المؤرخ والباحث الأثري مزامنة هذا الانفتاح، في محاولة جادة منه للتخلص من قيود المدرسة الفرنسية في كتابة تاريخ المغرب القديم، فالخروج من حيز الدراسات الفرنسية لا يعد عملية سهلة للمؤرخ والباحث الأثري في الجزائر، وذلك راجع لمجموعة من الاعتبارات، وعلى رأسها اهتمام الفرنسيين بتاريخ المغرب القديم، وخاصة الفترة الرومانية، وذلك راجع لأيديولوجية المدرسة الفرنسية في تناول تاريخ مستعمراتها بطريقة تخدم مصالحها السياسية. لكن إلى جانب الدراسات الفرنسية توجد دراسات أجنبية أخرى مهتمة بالبحث التاريخي والأثري للمغرب القديم، في موضوع هذا المقال سأقدم مدينة تيمقاد الأثرية من خلال الرحالة البريطاني "جيمس بورس"، في محاولة توجه إلى الأبحاث الأثرية البريطانية حول المدينة الرومانية النموذجية في الشرق الجزائري. As a result of the University of Algeria's knowledge openness in recent years, I was necessary the historian and archaeologist synchronizing this openness, in a serious attempt to eliminate the limitations of the French school in writing Maghreb's ancient history, The departure from French studies is not an easy process for the historian and archaeological in Algeria, This is due to a series of considerations, most notably the French interest in Maghreb’s ancient history, Especially the Roman period, this is due to the ideology of the French school of addressing the history of their colonies in a way that serves their political interests. But besides French studies there are other foreign studies interested in the historical and archaeological research aspect of ancient Maghreb, in the subject of this article I will present the archaeological city of Timgad through the British backpacker “James Burse”, in an attempt to head to British archaeological research on the typical Roman city in the Algerian east.
