Abstract
This research paper aims to raise a very important topic in the field of media and communication studies, which is “media education for children in the Arab world.” We tried to review some promising experiences in the Arab world through an analytical reading of some Arab experiences, such as the inclusion of media education concepts in school curricula and the presentation of media education content in innovative and attractive ways, in addition to the most prominent challenges facing institutions and active parties in this regard, especially with regard to the lack of resources and funding, the digital gap, the influence of customs, traditions and prevailing culture... etc.
In parallel, we have attempted to propose a set of solutions and recommendations to enhance the role of media education for children in the Arab world, such as launching awareness campaigns on
the importance of media education, developing educational curricula with the inclusion of media education within school curricula, and strengthening partnerships and cooperation between educational institutions, civil society organizations, and the media to develop sustainable media-educational programs.
