Résumé:
This paper discusses how advanced technology can be used in the open-air museums in heritage sites for the purposes of preservation and advancement of the cultural values thereof. Through theoretical inquiry and a number of leading examples, the issues around and the possibilities of applying, on one hand, sustainable architectural techniques and on the other, digital tools in order to build interactive and immersive experiences for visitors and towards the safe-guarding and preserving of artefacts, are addressed within the paper.
