منطقة جنوب البحر المتوسط في المفهوم الاستراتيجي لحلف شمال الأطلسي

Abstract

بعد نهاية الحرب الباردة ومنذ أوائل تسعينيات القرن الماضي سعى حلف شمال الاطلسي لمراجعة وإعادة تحديد استراتيجيته، وذلك بانتهاج استراتيجية جديدة تستجيب ومعطيات البيئة الامنية العالمية المتغيرة بصفة عامة وأمن منطقة جنوب البحر المتوسط بصفة خاصة. إذ شهدت القمم التي عقدها الحلف في هذه الفترة التوصية بصياغة استراتيجية جديدة للحلف تضع السياسة الأمنية لدول جنوب المتوسط ضمن اهتماماتها الأولى وذلك انطلاقا من فكرة ان تحقيق الاستقرار والامن على الحدود الجنوبية للدول الاوربية يعد امرا مهما لأمن حلف شمال الاطلسي واستقراراه. By the end of the Cold War and since the early 1990s, NATO has considered revising and redefining its doctrine by adopting a new strategy that responds to the global security environment, particularly in the southern Mediterranean region. The summits of the Alliance during this period have advanced recommendations for the formulation of a new NATO strategy that places the security policy of the Southern Mediterranean countries as one of their primary concerns. This new vision aims at achieving security and stability in this region as an approach to preserve security and stability of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
